All is well.
I haven't entered the Promises Rehab Center. I haven't been building an ark in my back yard in anticipation of the apocolypse. I'm not the father of Dannielynn. I haven't been dumped, or lied to, cheated, or in any other way offended by anyone.
I've just been, well, busy, I guess. Until December, I was quietly cooling my heals in our appellate unit, waiting for a spot to open up in our homicide unit. While I had kept some of my cases from the Special Defense Unit, and was occasionally in court, for the most part, I was at my desk on a daily basis, plenty o' time for blogging. In December, I moved into the homicide unit. While I'm not on trial, most of my new cases won't be ready to go for at least a year, I am frequently at the prison, in court, or pow-wowing with my boss or trial partner. In the beginning of the year, I also started working at Rosie's on Saturdays. So, I guess blogging about knitting kind of became like blogging about work, and it just wasn't so relaxing.
As far as the podcast goes -- there will be another podcast! Christina and I are just both really busy, and we both work on Saturdays. That's it - no controversies, no mental health breakdowns, no rift - the conversation usually goes like this - "We really need to podcast." "Yep." "When do you want to do it?" "How's 2 weeks from Sunday?" And then 2 weeks from Sunday will roll around, and another obligation will have cropped up. For us, podcasting was always a hobby, and sometimes life just doesn't give you time for all of your hobbies.
I have been knitting - a lot. I'll try to be better about posting.
I am still waiting for my Rockin Sock Club package - I have to send kudos to the Blue Moon Team though - as soon as I emailed them that there was a problem - they got right on it. If only the cable company were as thorough!

Wendy,
Welcome back. I missed you - and your podcast.
Glad to hear you are okay.
I've missed you bunches! I get busy too (I'm writing report cards this week), so I completely understand the need to be away from the blog. I'm so glad you dropped in to blog today and let us know what's been going on.
I know what you mean about the cable company :P
I hope you get your sock kit soon.
So glad to see you are back. Waiting anxiously for the next podcast. And to see what you have been kniting for the last couple of months!!
Welcome back! I sure have missed your sense of humor and your wit! I shall stay tuned for an upcoming podcast!
Isn't it crazy how our "other" lives get in the way of our knitting lives?! Glad to hear you're doing well. Funny about working in a knitting store, I've always worried about when doing something you love as a hobby can sometimes feel like work. I had thought about taking a job in a local book store and figured I'd never come home with a pay check. But just like at a knitting shop, there's sooo much inspiration.
Wendy, You have been missed! I know how work can get in the way of hobbies -- crazy how we must work to fund our hobbies :) Can't wait to hear if you got your wheel up and spinning.
Wow! Congratulations on your new post in homicide. And thanks for sending up the flare. I'm just glad you're alright. This is good busy.
So glad to hear that you are alive and well. I agree, this is good busy and we have no problems with good busy.
I will send you some good postal mojo for you RSC package. Check my blog if you need a taste!
Thats good news! I have been wondering about you two lately!

Thanks for the good news update! We have missed you and are happy to hear you are okay.
Looking forward to seeing all those FOs!
Ruth
I've missed you! We've all been a little busy though ... and I totally understand about blogging on work stuff. It's why I can't get into a lot of test knitting, or work part-time at the LYS. (Of course, that whole daydream will go out the window later this year when our family expands by one.)
I'm slowly gathering fiber samples for you for the wheel. Let me know when you get it up and running ... am thinking about upgrading to an Ashford Joy but will get rid of my Traditional to do so, so if you want to give up on the fixing and get another, I'm your girl.
Welcome back! I find that I start thinking: I want to do another podcast and then it seems to take weeks before I finally get it together with music and things to talk about. I hope you get one out soon. They're always so nice to listen to.
Welcom back and congratulations on your new post!
Welcome back. Its a relief to know that you are well, promoted to a position you want, and still knitting. In your absence I've become you, with many projects on the needles. It exhausting just thinking about them.
Podcast when you will and keep the blogging up when you have time. I'm sure you'd rather knit than spend time on the computer.
Its nice to see you are back. I know what you mean about being too busy sometimes to do what you love in a hobby. With work and school, plus grandchildren to play with, I don't get as much done as I use to. But with that aside, welcome back. I enjoy reading Christina and your blogs and you podcasts. Take you time and post when you can it is just nice to hear from you.
Great to hear from you again and glad you haven't shaved your head or something. Hope you & Christina can get together for another podcast. They are always funny and I look forward to listening to them. Congrats on the new job too!
Whew! Was really starting to worry aboucha'. Glad to hear you are still knitting in between all the other "life" stuff.
Missed you. That's a good thing. Life is like that: we all hear you. Welcome back. Pam from CT
Glad to hear all is well! Glad to hear there will be podcasting - I've missed you guys.
Congrats on the new assignment.
Glad all's well, work sounds exciting, a podcast is always a plus - but that and blogging will always take a backstage to life and work!
Good to hear all is well. Yes, you've been missed. Welcome back.
Congrats on all your great new adventures. And when you guys do get to podcast again, we will be here! Enjoy your busy days though, those are the times when life happens!
